Dumbo is happening. I’m almost afraid to look at my credit card statement to see what the final cost is with the exchange rate. I’m thinking about $530 Canadian…depending on what the rates were and then adding that 3% charge all credit card companies do.
But….knowing I am going now…it’s given me a bit of pep in my step.
Training unofficially started last night. I know it’s still seven whole months away, but I have Manitoba Half on Father’s Day and hopefully a few spring 5 and 10Ks to prep me for the half…and then a few more over the summer to crank myself up for DDD.
I spoke with good ol Coach Dad about training…asking him if he thinks getting a sub 49 time…and ideally a sub 48 minute time is possible for the 10K and if my sub 1:50 time is possible for the half and he said, yes, but I need to stay uninjured…how true is that. He said he is willing to coach me and give me the much needed butt kicks to get my training done, which is fab.
I also have a friend from my Wellness Team who did Glass Slipper Challenge last February with me…she offered to help me train for my long runs by riding her bike beside me – how awesome is that?!
Feeling ever so grateful for the people in my life…and the opportunities I’ve had to do the things I want to do. Just feeling super grateful for everything right now…even the work stress…though I could easily do without it.
On that note, I should get back to work. I already can’t wait to go for my post work run! 🙂
