  • Holiday stress is in full effect…oy! In light of what is coming, I think this week needs to be a cutback week in my mileage to save my sanity.

Christmas

12/24-12/25

  • NOTHING!
  • Cooking dinner for 25 people sorta ruins any hope in sneaking in a few miles.

Fri

12/26

  •  5 easy miles to break back into fitness
  • Yellow.
  • slight hernia pain and some tightness in my left calf

Sat

12/27

  •  5 miles
  •  Yellow
  • First four miles were sub 8 minute pace (YAY)
  • Then hernia came to haunt me.

Sun

12/28

  • zero
  • door handle on my front door broke–couldn’t leave the house

Mon

12/29

  • 3.26 miles
  •  Orange.
  • Felt crappy.
  • broke out the 15 minute rule

Tues

12/30

  • zero
  • day got away from me and I had a crappy blind date.

Weds

12/31

  •  14 miles.
  •  Orange
  • rather decent amount of pain, lots of walk breaks
  • not enough to stop
  • I know it will get better when I get back to my exercises.

Highlight(s) of the Week

  • Getting 14 miles in.  Longest run I have done since 2010 (all in one shot) and finally breaking my year long, 1,000 mile goal.

Goal(s) Moving Forward

  •  Get back to my exercises and push with caution to get my last 7 weeks of Princess training in.
