Weekly Workout Recap Wednesday

Hey Hey People!

In an effort to try and stay accountable and stick to my plan (yes, I know, I’m horrible at doing that), I am posting weekly updates for my workouts every Wednesday.  At the very worst, it will count my mileage up to my goal of 1,000 miles for 2014.

So…without further ado, here’s what I was up to in terms of all things fitness for the first week of 2014:

As you can see, it was a bit cold

Happy New Year!

Jan 1:

  • 3.12 miles – Resolution Run – slow pace due to conditions.
  • 30/30/30 (push-ups, sit ups, squats)

Jan 2:

  • 4.5 miles – Mile Repeats – Splits: 7:21/7:17/7:08
  • 30/30/30
  • Foam Roll & Stretch

Jan 3:

  • 5 miles – easy pace – 8:39ish
  • 30/30/30
  • Foam Roll & Stretch

Jan 4:

  • Nothing – came down with a cold

Jan 5:

  • Still sick – ugh.

Jan 6: Run Club!!!

  • 2.7 miles of run/walk with run club (still sick so I didn’t do my own workout)
  • 30/30/30

Jan 7:

  • 4 miles – Go With it Run (big surprise at how well this went, given I still feel under the weather) – Splits: 7:51/7:43/7:42/7:34
  • 30/30/30
  • post run rehab

Total Miles for the week: 19.33 miles (only need 19.2 miles per week to hit my 1000 miles for 2014)

High Moment of the Week: Run Club. 🙂

Goal for moving forward: Re-establish my weight training program 2-3X a week

Do you have a goal for the week ahead?

  1. I spent last night creating a workout plan for the next few weeks. I’m supposed to start today, and I have myself down for cardio for 15 minutes every day through Saturday, along with other workouts. Sunday I gave myself the day off, then it’s go-go-go until January 25th with cardio every other day and cross training every day. Add in Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy and I should be in slightly better shape by the 25th.

I wrote it all in pencil though, in case I’m not as ready for this workout plan as I thought I was. I’ll reevaluate every 4 or 5 days and redesign my work out plans if I need to.
