…until I get some time off around the holidays.
I know it is a bit early to start the countdown…but the combination of work travel, my dad being sick and busy times at work is making me crave some downtime in a big, big way. The fact that one of my besties keeps posting pics of her trip in Fiji, a trip that I turned down due to money and poor timing, just makes it worse. I need some extended Princess Lisa time to just relax, rejuvenate and re-configure a few things in terms of future plans.
And no, I am not complaining–things could be ever so much worse, I’m just saying that I am in need of a bit of time to regroup.
In order to keep things in perspective in my times of stress, I am going to re-start something I began at my old blog–a Gratitude Challenge. Every Sunday I will post a week’s worth of things I am grateful for–three things every day. I found that, when I have done this in the past, it makes even the worst days exponentially better, because there is always something to be grateful for, something that brought you happiness, on even the worst of days.
If you wish to have your own Gratitude Challenge, you don’t have to do it my way…I just find that this version works for me. Make it work for your schedule…your life…your blog. 🙂
And as I sign off on this bloggy post, here are the things I’m grateful for today…with more to come on Sunday, obviously…
1. I get to celebrate my cousin’s 40th birthday with her over lunch today.
2. My office is finally warm enough where I can work without wrapping a blanket around myself or wearing fingerless gloves.
3. My homemade coffee is particularly delicious this morning–and it is NEVER particularly delicious. 🙂
