My First Ever: Running Mile Repeats

Stylish new glasses really help accentuate my fearful expression resulting from my first attempt at mile repeats scheduled for this afternoon.

So I just signed up for the 2014 Fargo Half Marathon…which means I really need to get on this whole speed work thing…

Eek!

Here is what I have planned for tonight (paces are guesses since I have never done this before):

1/2 mile warm up

1 mile at a 7:20 min/mile pace

1/2 mile recovery (9 min/mile pace)

1 mile at 7:20 min/mile pace

1/2 mile recover (9 min/mile pace)

1 mile at 7:15 min/mile pace

1/2 mile recovery (9 min/mile pace)

1 mile cool down walk

After that I plan on dying…if I don’t die, I will do my amazing speed making, posture perfecting, butt building workout from the wonderful Lindsey Hamel.
